Joshua and Dave hanging out at the pool with Miss Madeline and Jeff (oops, out of the frame)
On Saturday night, we went to a yummy Italian dinner in downtown Napa. We were celebrating Jeff's birthday. Joyce and Jeff got a few minutes to hang out at the table with us while Joyce's Mom had Tyler and Madeline outside.
A family photo. Joshua spent most of the dinner flirting with the waitresses through the opening in the glass wall behind us. I don't know who enjoyed it more, the waitresses or Joshua.
When we got to the Weston and up into our room, we quickly discovered that the crib we had been promised was not there. After calling around a bit, we were told no more cribs were available. Being my mother's daughter, I kept asking what the hotel was going to do to help us and hit the right person. She took great care of us and upgraded us to a one bedroom suite complete with a full kitchen, dining room and two bathrooms. It actually worked out great because there was a nice big bathtub to bathe Joshua in, a fridge and microwave for the first of the morning milk Joshua immediately asks for via sign language as soon as he wakes up, and a living room we could hang out in after putting the monkey to bed in the middle of the big bed with pillows all around and the video monitor on him. Awesome!
I commented to Dave that I wish we could have transported this kitchen to replace our own outdated kitchen at home. :)
The bedroom already covered with our stuff.
The "master" bathroom
The second bathroom
The living room/dining room with a view of the lanai. As you can tell, we were very comfortable. :)
Joshua and Daddy heading back out to the pool.
Joshua happily hung out on my lap watching the other kids for a while after getting out of the pool.
Hanging out at the Oxbow Market having a Salvadorian lunch. Joshua loved the beef and corn cakes.
On the afternoon of the 4th, we visits a few wineries for a little tasting.
In the late afternoon/evening we headed to the street fair in Napa to grab some dinner and check out the scene.
Three generations hanging together, Joyce, Madeline and Jovita.

On Monday, we stopped by the Miner winery for a lovely picnic lunch. This winery is a small family winery. It sits up on a hill in Napa Valley with stunning views. It was really fun as we got one tasting, but were able to take our time and taste the wine while having our picnic on the patio.
