A busy Saturday of Corn Hole and Baseball.

On Saturday June 7th, Dave and I participated in The 1st Annual Sausalito Corn Hole Invitational Tournament (the SCHIT). For those of you not familiar with corn hole, it is basically a bag full of corn that you must toss through at hole in a board that is 27 feet away. You only get points if you land on the board or if you actually get it through the hole. Sounds easy, but truly, it is not. Debbie and I were team SCHIT Queens. Dave and Shane were team Yes We Can. Debbie and I had a great first round and quickly found ourselves in the winners bracket. Sadly, we lost our next two matches and were out. Dave and Shane fell to the team who ended up in the finals their first round, but made a valiant come back including beating Debbie and I. They were really happy with that win because they will be getting a home cooked meal and a massage.

Shane, Kate, Dave and Bailey

After watching the championship games, we loaded up the car and headed for the east bay. We spent the remainder of the evening enjoying the Oakland As versus the Anaheim Angels baseball game with Shane and Debbie (thanks you guys!!) The weather completely cooperated and it was a beautiful evening. After the game, we went down on the field and spread out a blanket to lie down and watch a spectacular fireworks show right above our heads. It was a very impressive 25 minute show complete with music. Country music to be exact (much to my delight and Dave's chagrin). :) It was a really great day to hang out with friends and enjoy the awesome weather!

Enjoying the game.

Awaiting the fireworks

It was fun to be in the sea of people down on the field.

Heading home after a fun day.
