Thanksgiving with the Robson Clan

Marla and Eric graciously agreed to host Thanksgiving this year at their new home in Parker, CO. We had a wonderful time playing the boys (Luc 9 years old and Gates 7 weeks old), and the rest of the family. We even got to experience some snow. We also spent a lovely afternoon with our family friends, The Crains. Their daughters, Patti and Amy, and I had not seen each other since we were kids. It was fun to have all the generations together. Good times all around!

And we're off

A few days after the wedding, we were off for our Mexican Honeymoon adventure. We spent the first week in Nuevo Vallarta ( just outside of Puerto Vallarta) and then the second week in Riveria Maya which is between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. We played at the beach, relaxed by the pool, did a little sightseeing (including tequilla tasting in PV and visiting the ruins at Tulum), and ate wonderful meals. We had a fabulous time and came back to the real world very happy and relaxed. I highly recommend a Mexican getaway to anyone looking to have some "down time". It is a good day when the hardest decisions are "beach or pool" and "where are we going to dinner?".

Where it all begins

Since October 13, 2007 is when we officially became "The McEwens", it seemed only appropriate to start a blog with some pictures of our special day. I am sure every bride and groom feels that their wedding day was wonderful. We are certainly no different there. It was a magical day for both of us and we loved every minute of it! We were truly blessed and honored by so many special friends and family being present to help us celebrate. In the midst of planning this day, I was given some very good advice to remember that it is not just about this day, but it is about creating a lifetime of memories. I am confident that we achieved that.
