February and March fun

On of my favorite chain restaurants is BJ's Pizza, but as far as I knew, the closest one was a good hour away on the peninsula. A few weeks ago Dave surprised me by taking Joshua and I to dinner at a new one that just opened in Concord. Whoo Hoo!

Joshua enjoyed some pizza and some chicken strips.

Joshua loves to visit the fish and tell them "Hi". You can see it live on the video at the end of this post. Good thing the fish are a hearty sort and not prone to heart attacks with a small boy coming at them.

This is Joshua's latest favorite position. I always say "oh my" and he laughs.

Our monkey hanging out

Joshua loves to play with baseball caps. He can almost get them on himself, but usually need a little help at the end.

Last Friday, Joyce and Tyler came out to have lunch with us. Joshua rode to the cafe in Madeline's car seat facing forward. He loved it. Sadly for him, his Mom is so mean and he is going to have to endure facing backwards for a bit longer....as long as we can get him to stand it or his second birthday, whichever comes first. :) In this picture, Tyler is letting his Mommy know that it is time to eat. Joshua just stared at Tyler trying to figure out what was happening.

There was a cold wind blowing last Saturday evening as Joshua and Daddy ran to the grocery store so Dave could get the ingredients to make me green chili enchiladas. They were really good! This is probably the last time Joshua will wear this hat as the weather is certainly warmed up this week.

On Sunday, we met Auntie Megan in Alameda to look at a condo she is considering purchasing. After checking out the place, we went on a lovely walk along the water with this spectacular view of the city. We are keeping our fingers crossed for Auntie Megan to get her place and we will happily come visit and walk this trail often. :)

Another view of the city. Beautiful!

Joshua had a great time smiling at the people and dogs.
