Fun fall days

A few Saturdays ago, we had come back from an outing and Joshua was snuggling with Daddy in the big chair.

Two minutes later, he was out. Dave and I just hung out and talked while he rocked gently and Joshua happily visited dreamland.

More walking for the monkey. This time he has his athletic shoes on. ;)

Happy 9 month birthday, Joshua!

We had a really fun lunch and play date with Auntie Tania and her son, Derek. Joshua thought Auntie Tania was great fun. He also really liked Derek and Brandon's toys! Thanks for hosting us, Tania and Derek!

Joshua had a great time hanging out in his exersaucer while Mommy swept up the pine needles and Daddy cleaned the pool. It was a little chilly outside though, so he had to bundle up with his hat and sweatshirt.

Daddy takes a break for a picture opportunity.

Joshua loves watching the birds and looking at the trees.

A couple Sundays ago, we traveled down to Cupertino to celebrate Chris Jung's birthday.
Here is Clara giving Joshua a little kiss.

There were 5 kids at dinner at an Asian fusion restaurant and they all did very well. Joshua is playing with Clara and Madeline while Auntie Lynna looks on.

Joshua had a great time with Auntie Lynna.

Joshua playing with his rattle. Anything that makes noise is a lot of fun these days.

Happy birthday C Jung! Loved the shave ice for dessert.

Last Friday we went for play date at our neighbors house. Joshua enjoys playing with the girls, Gemma 4 and Genevieve 21 months. Here he is in his stroller ready to make the quick trip up the big hill to the Leach's house.

Saturday morning Joshua and I ran some errands. I had my baseball cap on, so Joshua wore his too.

Sunday morning at our favorite coffee house, Papillon in Lafayette. Joshua had his breakfast of wild blueberries, applesauce and water and we had our breakfast of bagels and white mochas. Joshua happily flirted with the other patrons while Dave and I did a crossword puzzle.

Eating squash and a play date with the Shahkars

Joshua is doing quite well with his eating, but is pretty picky on which veges he will eat. No way will he eat peas and really, I don't blame him. :) He tolerates some other veges, but his favorites by far are sweet potatoes (much to Daddy's chagrin as Daddy doesn't eat sweet potatoes) and squash.

I know his face doesn't look like it, but he is enjoying his squash quite a lot.

On Tuesday, Joshua and I met Alyson and Gabriel in Walnut Creek for a play date.
Gabriel in his stroller.

The boys hugging each other.

Joshua is really teething at this point and constantly chewing on anything including his own fingers.

Playmates

Gabriel was trying to give Joshua love pats, but he doesn't quite get dose level so his mommy was helping him. Very cute.

This morning Daddy put Joshua in his Gator gear from Grandma and Grandpa.

Happy Halloween

We had a great first Halloween with Joshua the Edemame. On Tuesday October 27th, we went to a Halloween Parade and trick or treating event put on by my mother's club for children 5 and under. Initially Joshua wasn't sure of the crowds, but soon go into looking at everything and everyone.

He figured out to grab from the bowl fairly easily. It was the drop in the pumpkin that was a bit more difficult.

As usual, he was a hit.

Daddy and Joshua enjoying the decorations.

Trick or treating at Chow. Yummy rice crispy treat and cookie for Mommy and Daddy.

There were several fun photo opts set up around the square.

At the Tea Bake Bakery Shoppe. Yum, these cookies were good! Thanks Joshua!

Finishing up and heading home.

On Halloween, we went to a fun late afternoon BBQ at the home of one of the Mom's in my playgroup. Dave and I dressed up as sushi rolls to match Joshua's Edemame. We have soy sauces and chop sticks hanging off our rolls.

Hope everyone had a great holiday!
